How it all got started

In 1992 I became frustrated with the selections of fishing rods that were offered by all the commercial rod makers. I just couldn't find the complete package of all the things that I wanted. I decided to learn how to build rods myself. After 10 years of practice, refinement and plenty of trial and error, I was finally satisfied with the complete package I had created. From there I focused on all the different types of fish that I could build rods for. I have fished freshwater, rivers, saltwater inshore and offshore, to find the limits of Fishaddiction rods and make them better. When I build a rod, I have the confidence that it will perform above and beyond what you can buy off the shelf and it will have the personal touches that make it distinctively yours. A Fishaddiction rod can be infinitely customized, handles built longer or shorter, thinner or fatter. Blank selection from all major manufacturers. Almost any kind of guide you can think of and some you can't from Fuji™, Pac Bay™, and more. Our customers are encouraged to choose from hundreds of thread colors and wrap patterns to suit their personal style. We can add names and even fish decals all preserved under ìFlex Coat™ flexible epoxy for a long lasting finish. So if you are ready for a truly custom built fishing rod that feels like an extension of your hand, let us know. We will be happy to build one just for you. Fishaddiction rods make a great birthday or anniversary gift for that special fisherman in you're life.

All my life I've loved to fish. Canada, Up North, Great Lakes, Cancun and all the little lakes and streams I could find in Southeastern Wisconsin. Then one day, about five years ago, I met Sean. He needed a mate on his boat for a Lake Michigan run. Hell yea I'll go! Well, the rest, as they say, is history. Taking my fishing to a new level is an understatement. We butt heads on everything, but it makes us both better at what we do. Our fishing has become a passion in every sense of the word. From walleyes in Bay de Noc, kings on the big pond to tuna in Panama. We build rods to give fishermen and women the tools to chase their own dreams. Maybe flyfishing for trout on the Colorado, or ice fishing for perch in North Dakota or just bobber fishing for bluegills with their kids. That's just one way we try to help you fish. We also love to teach. I have much more fun watching someone reel in Coho for their first time then catching it myself. Don't get me wrong, I love to wet a line, but to take someone fishing and watch the smile on their face as they fight a "big" one is priceless. Need a rod, want to go on a charter or just want to talk fishing, give us a call, send an email or post a message. We'd love to hear from you! Tight lines to all.
